A note from the LADSE Employer Advisory Board:
Since 1993, the LADSE Employer Advisory Board has guided the development of programs and services to the Vocational Alliance. Over the years this partnership has built a network of business and educational opportunities for students with disabilities within the LADSE districts.
We are a career cluster diverse board, meaning that we come from a variety of industries. We welcome and encourage members from the business community to join us on the Employer Advisory Board. From a business perspective......
Members can self nominate or be nominated through the Vocational Alliance network of school work programs. Our goal is to have members who represent each of the 9 categories of career clusters. A member is asked to make a commitment for a minimum of one year.
The purpose of the Advisory Board is to:
- Provide a forum for an exchange of views between the business community and the LADSE sponsored vocational education programs
- Provide guidance through specific board projects which relate to vocational growth of students, expansion of transitional services to students and their families and/or the development of new opportunities within the existing programs and new programming
